In Contra, the evil organization Red Falcon has established a base in the Amazon jungle with the goal of wiping out humanity. Two commandos, Bill Rizer and Lance Bean, from the Earth Marine Corp's Contra Unit (a group of elite soldiers specializing in guerrilla warfare), are sent into the jungle to destroy enemy forces and discover the true nature of extraterrestrial entity that controls them.
