Released in 1950, Cinderella is the film that essentially saved Walt Disney Studios from bankruptcy. It tells the story of, you guessed it, Cinderella, who leads a far from perfect life after losing her parents at a young age and now being abused by her stepmother and stepsisters. In true Disney style, she is "saved" from this life by Prince Charming.
However, before Prince Charming fell in love with Cinderella, she received a visit from the fairy godmother, who gave her hope. After her evil sisters-in-law ruin her pink dress, the fairy godmother transforms the remaining shreds into a stunning blue dress for the ball.
