HARRY POTTER - Magical Creature Figurine 16 - Aragog
Aragog is a male acromantula with glassy eyes and grizzled fur on his back and legs, capable of speaking like a human. This enormous spider was brought to Hogwarts by Hagrid when he was still a student there. Hidden in a dungeon by Hagrid, Aragog is endangered by Tom Riddle, who accuses Hagrid of opening the Chamber of Secrets and tries to capture the acromantula.
to frame her. Thanks to Hagrid, Aragog manages to escape and takes refuge in the Forbidden Forest. Considered the monster of the Chamber of Secrets, Aragog remains
hidden away in the forest. Later, Hagrid brings some company: a female acromantula named Mosag with whom he starts his family.
Harry and Ron first meet him in the book “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”.
Out of respect for Hagrid, the acromantula never touched a human, yet it offered the two boys as a meal to its daughters and sons. The two young wizards managed to escape.
Just barely. Aragog makes another appearance in the film “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”.
Aragog died in the spring of 1993 from an illness. After his death, the rest of his family became violent and, driven from the Forbidden Forest by Voldemort, attacked Hogwarts during the
Great Battle, throwing themselves at the Death Eaters as well as the students of the school.
